My Project

My students live in and around one of the most famous national parks in the United States, but many in this underserved community have never been able to access the educational and recreational opportunities it provides.

Students will hike its trails, learning orienteering skills with compass and maps, and no need to purchase expensive GPS devices, as part of a new outdoor education program.

Students local to its boundaries will access and engage in the many activities available within Redwood National and State Park, while developing appreciation and stewardship for its beautiful natural resources.
