My Project

As we are trying to reach our end of year academic goals, I need a new way to motivate my students and encourage positive behavior. The desk pets will do just this and also teach character traits like responsibility. I took over my Kindergarten classroom halfway through the year, so we have been working to build a positive classroom environment and this will be exactly what we need to help.

All of the supplies will be used to help facilitate the desk pet classroom management system.

We will use the animal erasers, food erasers, and toy erasers to use for the students to purchase with their good behavior punch cards. The cupcake holders will be used as a home for the desk pets and the cardstock and laminating sheets will be used to create signs and labels. Lastly the display shelves will be used for the students to keep their pets at "daycare" at different times during the day. I have talked to my students about this and they are excited and already working towards earning their first pets!

Mrs. Contreras will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 1.
