Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a great bunch of fourth graders that are ready and excited to learn. My students are ESOL learners as many of them are from various countries and speak various languages. Most of them are from immigrant families and many of them qualify for free or reduced-cost lunch.

This year I would like to bring fish into the classroom.

It has been proven that pets help to support the social-emotional development of students. The items requested include two fish tanks, filters, fish food, and items to decorate our fish tanks. This school year I wanted to support our classroom community by offering our students a chance to care for and learn about fish.
