My Project
In my self-contained Autism classroom we are constantly trying to teach social skills. Sharing is a tough one for these kids. But we also want them to be able to have the comfort of their favorite character that teaches social skills.
Pete the Cat is a very good character building teacher.
All of the books in the series are not only fun, but teach a lesson. I would like for each student to have a Pete the Cat to hold on to as we watch/listen to the stories. The videos incorporate music which also stimulates our students in a positive way. Social skills are very important to our students and the school as a whole.
