This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Preschool students and families have a lot of expectations and demands placed on them. I would like to provide a physical resource for families to use at home as an extension of their child's occupational therapy sessions in school.
I plan to use these resources to create a personalized tracing workbook that will help my students practice tracing and imitating prewriting strokes, shapes, name, alphabet, numbers in developmental order according to their abilities.
I have the honor of working with forty amazing preschool students with physical disabilities, developmental delays, and autism. My students come from lower household homes and may or may not always have the needed resources to continue working on their child's writing skills at home. I want to give my students all the advantages I can to help them master their writing skills.
My goal is to have enough materials such as a binding machine, chipboard, self-laminating sheets, and dry erase markers. These materials will provide each student with a ready-to-use tracing workbook to use at home. This laminated tracing workbook has endless possibilities with a dry erase marker. It is also a fun and portable activity
