Personalized Students

Help me give my students the opportunity to have these very much needed label makers. Now that we are returning to face-to-face learning, we are now faced with having to personalize every item in our classroom.

My Students

My students are a great group of kids. They are 9th graders with Autism and other developmental disabilities or special learning needs. They need more than a teacher who tells them what to do; they need an adult who will listen to them and work with them on their individual needs.

In the words of Temple Grandin, "Kids have to be exposed to different things in order to develop.

A child’s not going to find out he likes to play a musical instrument if you never exposed him to it."

My classroom assistant and I create a positive and interactive learning environment where our kids know that they are welcome, they are loved, they are appreciated, they are safe and they can succeed.

My Project

These label makers will help us a lot. We are faced with having to label everything bin that our students use in the classroom. In addition to personal items, such as water bottles, etcetera.

These label makers will help so much with labeling many of our pencils, bottles, containers, etc.

They will also help to separate bins, areas, desks, and so on. Items that each student will need to use in class with their names placed on them.

These label makers will be an asset to our classroom family from organizing bins to personalizing student belongings.
