This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love the enthusiasm and determination that my third graders show daily for reading. I am always inspired by their drive to overcome the challenges of poverty and create a future rich with opportunity! Reading success is the first step!!
My Project
Our students will stay engaged in learning to read while wearing these headphones. Headphones will let our eager readers interact with programs freely when sounding out, blending, and practicing oral reading fluency in one classroom. Each student will soar with personalized learning and individual achievement.
"Overcoming poverty is not an act of charity, it is an act of justice.
Like Slavery and Apartheid , poverty is not natural. It can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great." Nelson Mandela
