Personalized Learning Materials for the Covid Era

My Students

My students are an amazing bunch of kids! They come from rural Utah where they are limited to the opportunities available to them. They have the drive to learn that is unparalleled. Technology has become a great tool in affording these students the opportunities to see and learn things that might not otherwise be possible. This includes personalized learning which helps each student grow on their own level and allows each student to reach their own greatest potential.

Many students struggle to have these technological opportunities outside of school, so it is important that they are made available to students during the school day.

To see the smiles on their faces and the lightbulbs go off over their heads as they are learning is the highlight of my day. These students deserve every opportunity to build the foundation for success in their life. Let's make this happen!

My Project

Our 6th grade math classroom is shared by three homerooms. These materials will be used to provide individualized instruction to help students grow and succeed at their own levels.

The headphones will allow students access to learning videos and other personalized learning apps.

The other materials allow students to do their scratch work for tasks and other learning opportunities created and found on Teachers Pay Teachers. The binders will help us to contain our math journal and other notes that are personally helpful to the students. The tissues will be handy because our noses are all in need throughout the year.
