My students need several art supplies to create unique, homemade journals which they can keep for a lifetime. Making a personalized journal expresses both creativity, personality, and it creates an outlet for expressing feelings and emotions.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are incredibly talented and creative. I would love to be able to provide my students with more supplies to create unique and personalized projects that they will be proud to make and keep. I was only given a certain amount of money at the beginning of the school year to cover my ceramics, beginning art, advanced art students, and art club members in all of their artistic endeavors and it doesn't stretch very far. This donation would make a big difference!
Since I am limited in what I can order for my students, I am only able to order the bare necessities at the beginning of the year.
I do the best that I can to make our money stretch, however they are in dire need of more supplies for their projects. They are so creative, but we are down to the bare basics. Please help us!
My Project
These materials will make a difference to my art students because they will be able to create a lifelong keepsake in which they can record their feelings, emotions, and drawings in. I feel that this project is especially important for my students due to their age. Teenagers often tend to close up their feelings, especially high school students, and I would love to be able to give them a personalized piece of art in which they can use in a productive way.
Ever since I began teaching art, I have wanted to be able to provide my students with the means to complete this project.
I have a very deserving group of students who would benefit greatly from this. Not only would they love the process of creating collages to make their journals unique, but they would also be very appreciative of your generosity.
