Personal Student Toolboxes for Learning

Help me give my students their much needed personal school supplies for both their learning in academics and art, as well as a document camera to teach my little learners remotely.

My Students

With the closing of schools on March 16, 2020 for Covid-19, and the immediate arrival of teacher designed distance learning, we all saw how ill equipped our students were to learn from home. The lack of basic school supplies was revealed, as was the lack of technology and access to learning. Thankfully, our district did a good job getting devices out to families in need, which was over 67% in my classroom alone! But yet, to do academic lessons or art work from home was difficult. My students did not have the tools to learn and show what they know.

This Donors Choose will help to close a learning gap for my students with basic classroom supplies so that they can do the Distance Learning work at home.

My hope is to provide each student with their student toolbox for academics, art, and overall wellness.

My Project

Please help me give these personal student toolboxes, basic school supplies, with all the items needed for remote home learning. As a teacher in a Title 1 school with a 67% free and reduced lunch needs, and a majority of English Language Learners, my families do not have the resources to furnish supplies for their children to continue their learning at home.

These personal student toolboxes, or basic school supplies, will continue to allow our young students learning remotely from home.
