Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at our elementary school truly take on the meaning of our school mascot: heroes. They are heroes because they worked hard and accomplished so much despite the pandemic! They logged on, learned, and did everything they were supposed to do despite technical issues, minimal supplies, and not having their teachers in the same room! Now, we're returning stronger and smarter than ever! We did not let any obstacle or any pandemic get in our way!

Our heroes have returned to school stronger and smarter than ever, ready to work, learn, and have fun!

Heroes are not only smart, but they are respectful and caring people! Heroes are also problem solvers, lifelong learners, and give meaning to the word heroes.

My Project

There are many times children need some personal space- they don’t want to sit with others and would rather work alone. Having magnetic clips and magnetic posters will help me post assignments around the room for a child to work alone if need be. Comfy pillows and seats will also fill this space. My students can take a comfy seat away from the classroom stimulation and will be able to decompress in a quiet spot. The work assignments, positive message posters, and other work can be posted with magnetic clips in these areas.

Magnetic clips and posters will allow me to post positive messages in a comfy space filled with pillows- this will be a great space for those that need a time out or break.

My students are in need of a cool off spot filled with pillows and posted positive messages. This space will allow a student that is having an emotional break down to relax in a comfy area. Positive posters and messages will be posted in this area. Everyone needs a break once in a while. My students may even find me in the quiet spot!
