My Project

We can reduce our waste! We live in a community where we have hot days eighty percent of the year so waterbottles are a must. But, imagine all that waste with one time use bottles - and the cost!

My students will greatly benefit from filling up their own stainless steel water bottle and having their own lunch utensils.

We will turn this into a whole science and math lesson by tracking the conservation!

Adopting the use of a stainless steel water bottle and reusable eating utensils significantly contributes to daily waste reduction and sustainability. By carrying a stainless steel water bottle, you eliminate the need for purchasing single-use plastic bottles, drastically reducing plastic waste and saving money. Similarly, bringing along reusable utensils—such as forks, spoons, and knives—made from durable materials like stainless steel or bamboo, avoids the consumption of disposable, often plastic, alternatives that contribute to landfill overflow and pollution. This simple change in daily habits not only lessens your environmental footprint but also encourages a more mindful approach to consumption, urging others to consider their impact on the planet. Over time, these eco-friendly practices can lead to broader changes in community and organizational policies towards sustainability.
