it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Journaling is a fabulous way to get one to express one's feelings when one's voice falters. At times, one might not event want to verbally express their emotions to themselves, much less anyone else but the need to process emotions is necessary in order to be able to move on. Hence: private journaling.
Journaling is a safe way for students to be able to process their big emotions as they go about their school day and this thing we call life.
It is time that mental health no longer took the backseat but instead, front and center. Our whole being is run by our thoughts and our thoughts run by our emotions. Students need a tangible, safe way to process their emotions in a healthy manner. I aim to provide these privacy boards for my students to be able to zone in on their emotions and the journals to "spill" them and process them, giving them a way to self-regulate.
