My Students

My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all backgrounds. They bring a blend of diversity, prior experiences, and culture to our school. I teach in a Kindergarten inclusion classroom where several of my students receive special education services for a range of disabilities, including intellectual, emotional, autism spectrum disorder, and many other specific learning disabilities. Many of my students also receive ESL services. The majority of my students receive free breakfast and lunch, which are now being offered remotely to every child/family that needs it.

They are a hard-working group of students that are eager to learn!

My Project

These personal protection student packs will help keep all of my students safe while at school. Each individual pack will include hand sanitizer, hand wipes, tissues, and a mask. These packs will provide my students with their own personal products that will be kept in a Ziploc plastic bag to keep them safe and prevent the spread of germs during the COVID 19 pandemic. These personal protection packs will travel with the students from the classroom, to recess, and on the school bus to and from school to ensure total safety and protection from all germs. I have also included sunscreen for the teacher pack to ensure that students are protected from the sun outdoors at recess.
