This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Middle school is a hard enough year for students as it is the first time most students are rotating to different classrooms, adjusting to new freedoms and environments. It is also the time students are experiencing hormonal changes and all the physical, social and emotional changes that come along.
According to Dr. Andy Bernstein, a pediatrician and a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics, While poor personal hygiene can affect a middle schooler’s overall health — for instance, making a child more prone to infections or rashes — the social consequences can hurt even more.
Please help me provide my students with deodorant and feminine hygiene products. This will allow students to take their hygiene products to the bathroom without being afraid other students will see what they are carrying.
Please help ease my students' worry and provide them will all they need so they can focus on their academic success and social growth.
