Personal Finance for High School Special Ed. Students

Help me give my students learning materials and supplies needed for studying personal finance. It is very important to learn how to manage money in the world before they graduate from high school

My Project

Special Education Students need more practice with personal finance skills than most since they are challenged with day-to-day living more than most. We all face challenges in the world, but the Special Education population has it a little bit harder with the disabilities they face daily on top of the regular difficulties of life. We need to practice managing money and budgeting skills as much as possible before graduating from high school. We can use play money as pretend earnings for rewards from doing classroom chores and school work, then use the money to buy rewards. This will allow planning and budgeting skills to be practiced.

The financial skill books will provide classroom lessons for us to learn and follow.

We can learn what things will cost after graduation. Renting an apartment and buying groceries need to be things thought about and prepared for before getting out of high school. The shock and reality of what things cost in the real world need to be taught in school, not just history and English. Please support our kids.
