My Students

My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. A challenge my student face is the knowledge and resources to be able to get their own personal care products.

By providing personal care items to girls, we are empowering them to be able to learn and become independent with their own personal skills.

A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, other family members and friends' homes, and hotels/motels. These students and families may not have the financial freedoms to provide extra resources above and beyond what is in the school already. By helping provide resources for girls, you are allowing the student to learn skills to be successful as they grow and become independent.

My Project

Many of our students live in low socioeconomic neighborhoods and need our help with basic care items. The students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, or motels/hotels. This project will provide our students with not only their most basic needs, but emotional well-being, positive atmosphere, confidence, and success.

My students should have access to feminine care products to make sure that they have a chance of being successful in the classroom and promote a positive learning environment.

These personal care items will help inner-city students stay clean and increase their self-image. Everybody should have the opportunity to have their basic needs met. We, as community members, have a responsibility to make sure that our youth has their basic care needs met.

These items will be kept in a discrete location and available to the students that are needing their basic care needs met by coming to this room to obtain what they individually need. Every item in this project will be used to help students with individual care needs to have access to personal care items that they may not have at home.
