Perler Pets for KES Kids!

My Project

Having a pet is one of the funnest experiences of childhood! For many of our students though, that's not an option due to the rules within their neighborhood and community.

We've thought of a work-around though: a one-of-a-kind Perler Pet!

Giving students a chance to create the pet of their dreams, without all of the responsibilities, will be a fun activity that builds connection, patience and frustration tolerance! Kids will get to decide what kind of pet they'd like to adopt and then build it, with all of the custom colors and patterns they love.

And I am so serious about this being a practice in patience and frustration tolerance - placing each individual bead is such a tedious task, and any little bump to the board will send the beads flying, requiring some deep breaths and persistence to see the job through.
