My students need a large classroom Periodic Table.
This project expired on March 5, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
We are learning about the Periodic Table and right now we have a 2 foot table hanging up in the classroom. When I am trying to show the students something about the periodic chart they are always telling me that they can't see and to explain again. We need something the whole class can see.
I teach two classes (about 25 students each) of Physical Science, two classes of Chemistry, one class of Environmental Science and one class of Biology.
My students range from 9-12 grade. I teach at a charter school. The mission of the school is to prep students for college. To help prepare the students for college, the classroom needs to have better teaching aides.
My students will be using this chart almost everyday that we talk about chemistry. I will be using it as a teaching tool. On tests the students can use and look at the table they have used to learn the material. My 9th graders will be in my classroom again for chemistry and will be able to use the chart again. A good Periodic Table is the basis of a science classroom.
By seeing the periodic chart the students will be able to learn easier if they can see the things I am trying to point out.
If there is a constant Periodic Chart the students can get used to it and comfortable using it year after year.
