My Project
The menstrual equality organization PERIOD tracks the impact that period poverty has on some female students. The Period Posse: Service project is designed to be student-led and will raise awareness about student communities' social issues and empower young ladies to advocate for themselves. Access to feminine care items is not just a matter of convenience but a fundamental necessity for female students in educational settings. The availability of feminine care items promotes dignity and self-esteem among female students. Managing menstruation discreetly and comfortably contributes to a positive school experience and a sense of confidence. Lack of access to these items can lead to feelings of shame, embarrassment, and stigma, which can negatively impact female students' mental and emotional well-being.
Feminine care items are crucial for female students' educational success and empowerment.
The Period Posse service project goal is to provide female students access to sanitary napkins, feminine spray, and feminine wipes when needed. This project demonstrates a school's commitment to supporting the needs of our female students, a push for menstrual equity, and empowering them to focus on pursuing their educational aspirations.
