My Project

Period Poverty is something that many women and girls struggle with. Many of my students are at or below poverty level, since we are a title school. I would love to spoil my adolescent girls by being able to give each one of them a period starter pack to keep in their backpacks. These would be a wonderful way to help them with the transition to starting their periods and feeling prepared for them. Packages would be provided to the girls after their growth and development lesson. This can be a very scary and nerve wracking experience for girls if they don't feel comfortable and ready. These would just be a little way to make them feel more comfortable.
