My students need transportation to the Colorado Music Educator's Conference where they have been invited to perform.

My Students

My students are wonderfully kind, passionate about learning and willing to work hard to achieve their goals. I am inspired by them each and every day and work hard to set the bar higher for them than they think they can achieve. They surpass that imaginary bar each and every time!

My students are predominately white but we also have many students of color and ethnicity.

The minority students are often much lower income than our white students and cannot keep up with the "in" fashions and other expenses. Last year we had issues concerning bullying so I programmed a concert with the theme of social justice to tackle these issues through song.

My Project

We have been invited to perform at this conference which is the biggest honor in our state. This conference takes place at the historic Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Having the chance to perform in such a beautiful place and not in our school cafeteria will be very exciting for them.

The honor choir students are very excited to have been chosen and are working very hard to be in top shape for this performance!

This is a completely new group of students chosen for this choir. With only two rehearsals per week outside of school, they have to make a huge commitment to the honor choir. I am so proud of them!
