Help me give my students living organisms to view under the microscopes and a set of class posters for students to be able to use as resources.

My Project
I love that many of my students come in every day hungry for knowledge. They thrive when we are doing hands-on learning. In our Life Science units, sometimes that is really hard to do due to budget restraints. Students learn about protists, primarily euglena, volvox, paramecium, and amoebas at the beginning of the school year. I would like to give my students the opportunity to observe these cells under our new microscopes! When I have done this lab in the past, students loved it!
I have even had kids come back and tell me that one of their most favorite days in my class was the day they got to see a living microscopic organism for the first time in real life.
Having that experience can leave a great impression on a student and foster their love and curiosity for science. There are so many science related jobs where we live, and I would love to continue to have the opportunity to show students how fun science can be. Maybe I could even spark an interest to pursue a science related career field. Seeing these microorganisms in an image is one thing, but actually getting to see it moving, interacting with others, and seeing what they actually look like up close in real time, is the much better learning experience!
