Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach English Language Arts to different levels of sixth grade students and we have implemented a new curriculum within our school. The use of this printer would be a huge support for my students who need additional resources such as pictures or dictionaries to aid in their comprehension of our texts, especially since our curriculum covers a wide range of genres that some students have never encountered.
The printer would also serve as a great resource for printing background knowledge on our curriculum topics, such as biographies on Malala Youssef, the Titanic, and other great topics!
In ELA, reading and writing go hand in hand, and my students work so hard on creating their own memoirs, short stories, argument essays, and research essays after they read the texts that are associated with those genres. This printer would offer us the opportunity to print out and display the writing pieces my students put so much effort into!
