My Students

I am the lucky teacher of a very special group of second graders. My class is made up of some of the most adorable faces you have ever seen. My students come from a diverse background. I have many ELL learners and special needs students in my class. They come from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds but the one thing that they have in common is the desire to learn. The students and their families all hold the value of education extremely important despite the challenges that they are currently facing. Many of the students come from hardworking, immigrant parents. School is the place where they learn English, feel safe, and grow. I want to give them this same sense of security during remote learning.

Nelson Mandella once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I want to give my students an environment where these wonderful minds have the opportunity to create a future that will change the world.

My Project

I want to unleash the creativity of the young minds in my classroom. An HP Printer and ink are exactly what I need to get their minds moving and their hands writing. Students love to learn and be creative. Writing their own stories and printing them out will allow them to take ownership of their learning which is a very important part of school. Providing a printer and ink to print out their original works would be the icing on the cake.

Young, creative minds are a gift.

Seeing a child's face light up when they create an original piece of writing is something truly spectacular. When a child feels comfortable in their environment, they can climb mountains. Providing my students with a printer in our classroom would not only be a gift to them but to me as well.
