Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Recently we found out that our district has lost out on a considerable amount of funding. This has resulted in drastic cuts to the school budget. The amount of money set aside for funding for music and other programs is not a lot.

Our goal is to help the students become complete musicians, being a percussionist is more than banging on a drum.

We are asking for the requested percussion items so the drum students can be exposed to different types of drum techniques. The books, mallets and snare drums will be used by many students in the school as they learn to become percussionists. Our goal is to be ready for our concerts!!!

I have the most amazing students in the band program. They are dedicated and hard working students. They study and practice hard and are always ready to learn.
