My Project
Here at our school, we currently have a small bell kit, a xylophone and a vibraphone, but no other barred percussion instruments. My goal is to expand the possibilities here and to expand clubs to include a percussion ensemble next year!
To do this, we would combine the 3 already included instruments with the marimba and battery percussion (snare, toms, drumset, woodblock, etc.) to create a full percussion ensemble.
This percussion ensemble can not only start playing at concerts, but can also be included into NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) festivals to be graded. It gives the students an opportunity to perform and compete.
