Pentomino Problem Solving Puzzles

Help me give my students pentominoes so they can solve spacial awareness puzzles.

My Project

Across grades 3 and 4 we are implementing problem solving puzzles. These puzzles require students to persevere and problem solve to find the solution. Students are posed with many problems during the day both academic and social. These puzzles will help students develop strategies to use when they get frustrated, when things are difficult, and help develop perseverance.

One type of puzzle students will be solving involves pentominoes.

These puzzles require students to use their spatial awareness skills to rotate the different pentomino pieces to fit in the puzzle. Clues or hints will be available for students. Having colored plastic pentomino pieces will allow for these puzzles to be solved by multiple students and with classrooms for years to come.
