This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Ok, everyone grab a pen and paper and get to work! Well, when they don't have pens what do we do? Should we send them to the office for not being prepared, or the school store to buy some? Maybe we should make another student share his or her writing utensils.

Pens and paper will help my students complete their assignments and take notes during class.

Students will be able to borrow a pen guilt-free. If they need it for the rest of the day it no longer creates a problem for classmates. Lack of school supplies is not usually a disciplinary issue that needs correction through the administrative office. Often times we can just hand them a pen and reduce the barriers to accomplishing the task.

Your gifts will be the ones to walk beside the students and give them the supplies they need to complete their work.
