Penguins, Frogs, and Ocean Critters Are Ready to Play APE!
Help me give my students visual markers, frogs, for the students to stand on while they practice throwing to a target or kicking to a goal. Sea creatures and penguins to make throwing more entertaining to practice.
I have had so much fun exploring new games/activities using the equipment from past projects. Some of the equipment I thought would be fun, but I wasn't sure how the students would respond to it, I ordered a small quantity to see how it would be received. Through this exploration, I have discovered some very well received and loved equipment by the students! So this project is ordering more of those items. I ordered "sea creatures" in my previous project, that are vinyl, perfect to handle any of my students wanting to chew on the equipment. They are a fun visual while my students learn to throw, catch and more with them. I had no idea the students would be fighting for the creatures because they are so excited to play with them.
It gives me such joy to watch my students respond so well to the equipment from these projects!
They are having so much fun, they don't even realize they are working! A vinyl set of penguins was another item that was a big hit, so we are adding more penguins to our family! The frogs in this project are spots that I place on the floor for the students to stand on. They act as a road map during their APE classes, providing visuals for the students on where to stand to practice a skill. My students will enjoy practicing skills they have already learned and learning new skills/games with this innovative equipment. I strive to give my students a learning rich environment to teach them all the gross motor skills, without feeling like they are working or feeling overwhelmed to learn the skills. These wonderful projects make that goal easier to achieve with all of this amazing equipment I add to my bag of teaching tricks.
