This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are thoughtful, curious, and full of creativity. They come to class ready to share ideas, work together, and try their best — and sometimes, all they need is a simple pencil to get started. What makes them special is their drive to express themselves, whether through writing, drawing, solving problems, or taking notes to help them grow.
We go through a lot of pencils throughout the year, and having a steady supply means students won’t lose learning time searching for one or feeling unprepared.
With this project, we’re requesting pencils so every student has the tools they need right at their fingertips — no stress, no barriers, just the freedom to learn and create.
A pencil may seem like a small thing, but it’s a powerful tool. It helps students put their thoughts on paper, explore new ideas, and build confidence in their work. Whether they're sketching out a music idea, jotting down reflections, or working through a math problem, having a pencil in hand helps them stay engaged and take ownership of their learning.
My goal is to create an environment where every student feels supported and ready to learn. With your help, we’ll make sure every learner has what they need to succeed — starting with the basics. Thank you for helping us stay sharp!
