Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Someone once said, "It's a far better thing doing nice things for other people." My fourth grade classroom is a highly reading and writing intensive academic environment, which means we use thousands of pencils each school year as well as pencil top erasers and electronic pencil sharpeners.
Right now, we are running out of pencils and erasers very quickly, and we're on our last electronic pencil sharpener. In addition, we're in the middle of some HUGE projects--memoirs, issue argument essays, publishing a children's book, and many other amazing life-changing reading and writing experiences. Plus, we need pencils for everyday academic school lessons in general. However, we are almost out of pencils and we're using our last electronic pencil sharpener.
