I teach at a Title I school and the class I teach is a low level math class. My students struggle with math skills, but also struggle with having the basic supplies they need. I had out countless pencils each and every day! Having pink pencils that are pre-sharpened would save me time each day and hopefully they would return the pencils so I would not lose so many each day! And the pencil sharpener in my classroom is the old kind with the hand crank! Think back to the 1990s! It sort of works, but takes a lot of muscle and patience to get it to work (which means I routinely have to stop teaching to go sharpen pencils for my students!)
