My Students
Driven. The word sums up my students' desires to learn, improve, and understand Mathematics. They have a strong desire to do well on their schoolwork, but more importantly they actually care about truly understanding the material.
Their attitude towards learning is refreshing and a motivation to make every lesson attainable and enjoyable for all.
My students are open to new experiences and come from varied races, religions, countries, upbringings, and economic backgrounds. Their ability to work together is inspiring in an era where so many adults struggle to do what seems to come naturally for my students.
My Project
My students work hard daily to improve their Math skills. Many students improve multiple levels in a single year. This is determined through different proficiency measures. When one of these goals is met it is nice to reward the students for their hard work.
These pencils, erasers, and sharpeners are small incentives for the kids to collect and use in the classroom along their journey.
They are small tokens to represent a job well done that also serve the students in their daily work and practice. Students will earn these for completing benchmarks toward obtaining grade level skills. This may include advancing levels on a program, game completion, knowledge checks, and superior effort.
