I teach on grade level team of 100 students. My school has a student body of over 600. We are a middle class working school with very little extra income for technology. I have been with my school district for ten years teaching in a variety of settings. This newest school brings the opportunity to teach in a hometown setting while working to provide the things needed that our school budget simply can't provide. Our school may be small, but we are raising a mighty group of kids.
My Project
If given the funds, I will begin my journey to building a Google Classroom where each child has what they need to create and grow in a driven environment. While I have one hundred students, I know this will be a long process. We are gathering materials two to three chromebooks at a time to build a tech cart. By providing chromebooks for us, I will have the things I need to give students websites to learn, tools to build, and the ability to create projects that will allow them to learn in a more hands on manner. This is a passion of mine that I hope to share with my community.
