Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are requesting pencils and pocket folders for immigrants, refugees, and English language learners who are participating in our music classroom. Providing my students with these basic resources will make their learning in the classroom so exciting. Sometimes students do not come to school with the necessary learning tools. Our stash of pencils and pocket folders will keep my students music learning moving forward. These resources will help as we learn about music theory and work on music themed art projects.
The vast majority of my students do not have the opportunity to experience music learning outside of the school setting.
It is necessary that our music program go the extra mile to provide exciting and practical life changing music experiences for our students. Providing basic classroom needs for these students will get them excited to participate as they experience music learning in new creative ways.
