Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a wonderful group of first graders who are smart, inquisitive, and eager learners! They come to school ready to absorb all the learning they can to be prepared for 2nd grade! However, they use or lose pencils so quickly that it is time to replenish them for the last 6 weeks of school. The pencils and erasers requested will be used daily for all academic subjects throughout the day.
How can students learn without the basic pencil and eraser?
They will be using the pencils to write in their journals, math and English workbooks, as well as their writing pieces! They also use them for art, note-taking, and making posters! My students will greatly appreciate new pencils and erasers! Thank you!
