Pencil to Paper, a Printer to Provide Meaningful Colorful Work
Help me give my students hands-on materials to practice writing with a pencil and not just on a computer. It is so important for their development to put pencil to paper.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are funny, creative, and excited to learn. They are each filled with wonder and curiosity and they all work at their own pace. They are writers, mathematicians, artists, and scientists. They come to school each day ready to listen to stories and try new things.
I have 24 students who are constantly looking to be challenged.
I am always looking for new ways to engage and challenge them. Their kind dispositions and excitement to learn keep me wanting to be my absolute best for them.
My Project
I am asking for a portable color printer and scanner. I would like to provide meaningful hands-on work for my students to complete at home.
They have been working on the computer at home and they are missing the paper to pencil experience.
As distance learning continues I would like to create colorful packets to send home for the kids to practice their skills. When we return to the classroom, this printer will become a part of their classroom. They will be able to print their color photos, projects, and stories to help bring their assignments to life.
