My students needs 6 sharp pencils! I have two electric sharpeners that just don't stand up to 150 students a day. With these 6 sharpeners we can get a lot more work done!
Drawing- a foundation in the arts, and a limitless medium.... well that is if you can sharpen you pencil. As an art educator I am to expose my students to a range of cultures and artists through all types of mediums. Like real artists, all my students start with a sketch.
My students come from very different situations and interests.
It is impossible for me to summarize them. I enjoy all their hard work and history that they share with me and their school on a daily basis. While some are excited about school every day, it is the ones that come out of their shell in the art room for who I work for.
These sharpeners will allow my students to work faster, and enjoy the proper materials or art. In all out projects we start with a sketch, a map of our brain. Time wasted waiting in line for the sharpener, or the electric motor grinding while instruction is being given, is a major speed bump in my students creative process.
This will help my students for years to come.
A sharp mind is a great tool, and when paired with a sharp pencil, there is no stopping it. The idea of this project is small, but will have the greatest impact.
