Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
These sharpeners will be indispensable tools in facilitating smooth and efficient classroom activities for our diverse learners. The electric pencil sharpeners will enhance our historical exploration and writing endeavors in my social studies classroom, where I teach 7th and 8th graders. With sharpened pencils readily available, my 7th graders will be able to engage more actively in note-taking during lessons and express their understanding of historical events through writing assignments. Similarly, for my 8th graders, whom I've guidedg for two years, these sharpeners signify the provision of resources essential for their continued growth as proficient writers and future leaders. Equipping them with the tools they need to succeed supports their academic journey and instills the confidence to tackle challenges head-on.
Donating to acquire electric pencil sharpeners for both my classroom and my wife Rachel's classroom is an investment in our students' learning success across different grade levels.
Rachel's 4th-grade students, numbering 30, will also benefit significantly from adding electric pencil sharpeners in her classroom. As she teaches all subjects to her students, these sharpeners will streamline various activities, from math problem-solving to language arts exercises. With sharpened pencils readily available, Rachel's students can focus more on their learning tasks without disruptions, ultimately fostering a conducive environment for academic growth and achievement across all subject areas.
