it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my 6th grade students come to school eager to learn. 95% of my students are English Language Learners. They are highly motivated to become better students. They have high hopes for their future and they always try their best in my math class. However they often loose their pencils or come to school without a pencil. Each day we spend time at the beginning of class passing out pencils to all those who need a pencil. This happens to them at the beginning of most of their classes because they have multiple class periods a day. They are still adjusting to a new school and to switching classes which perhaps explains why pencils are lost throughout the day.
Although I am happy to provide this for my students I would love some help in making this process easier.
Supplying my students with a pencil case and pencils will help increase our learning in math class because we will spend less time passing out pencils and more time learning. With your support I can help ensure that all of my students have a pencil pouch to store all of their pencils. This will reduce the amount of pencils that are lost throughout the day.
