Pencil Please, to Learn With Ease!

Help me give my students interactive virtual instruction by providing the ability for me to turn my iPad into a white board with the use of an Apple Pencil for live examples and demonstrations.

My Students

First graders have a unique sense of wonder about everything around them and an enthusiastic desire to learn and grow. My students face challenges daily and overcome them with a sense of strength and curiosity.

The current pandemic situation has left our educational leaders with a lot of challenges in regard to making safe decisions to meet our students' educational needs, with a hopeful transition to a successful hybrid model of distance education.

My students have started their 1st Grade year under unprecedented circumstances, and are showing enthusiasm and dedication by attending their live lessons.

We are an urban school community that has provided tools and opportunities that promote academic success, motivation, problem-solving, independence, personal growth mindset, as well as fostering 21st century skills that will prepare our students for the future. We are a family with diverse cultural backgrounds and academic abilities. Our technology-rich environment allows for students to creatively show their learning outcomes using a variety of programs and applications. The area around our school is growing daily, encouraging a large student population, which enhances our diverse classrooms.

My Project

The ability to provide appropriate modeling is crucial to the foundational learning that occurs in first grade. In order to enhance my at-home classroom environment, it is very important that I have resources to better provide models of concepts and skills that my students will need to be successful in their educational careers.

Having the ability to turn my iPad into an interactive white board will allow me to show my students the steps needed to understand many different components of first grade curriculum.

My current means of displaying work for students is very delayed and often does not work, leaving me with a challenge for how to provide my instruction effectively.
