My Project

The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. I use them to have a fun way for students to engage in math problems. My students use whiteboards and markers for guided practice, to answer, and model problems. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work without it feeling like an assessment. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last longer than a couple of weeks. When something goes awry, students have to ask and try to find a new marker or find a working marker.

Having essential supplies in my classroom would help my students be able to avoid a lot of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

Pencils are also one of the basic necessities my students need to just be able to complete simple assignments.

Even though we are managing the way things, it is distracting for many of my students who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction because they are worried about supplies.
