My Project

The Lakeshore Wellness Corner can provide a supportive and engaging space for my 5th-grade Chinese immersion students, helping them to develop reading skills in a calm, inviting environment.

By offering a variety of Chinese books, sensory activities, and mindful resources, this corner encourages a love for reading while supporting their emotional and mental well-being.

With resources that integrate language and self-regulation techniques, students will have the opportunity to practice reading in the target language, helping them strengthen comprehension, expand vocabulary, and build confidence in their literacy skills.

We have the goal that reading 1000 Chinese books for the two immersion classes. If we have this corner, I think students will like reading more Chinese books and they can have better discussions with these seats!
