My students are a fun, intelligent, and diverse group of first graders who attend a low-income, Title I school in Idaho.
They come in each day ready to learn and I love greeting each of their smiling faces at the door.
Each student is a vital member of our class.
They love learning and are excited to come to school each day. This young group of students has come a long way from the beginning of the year. Each of their unique personalities makes learning an exciting adventure every day!
My Project
Our school's students lack seating for our outdoor area. The bench will give them a peaceful place to sit and enjoy nature.
Students having an opportunity to relax and learn outside will make their school days more peaceful.
Giving students an environment for them to enjoy the great outdoors and the world around them will give our students an opportunity to take a break from their school day and relax.
Students will have a new chance to make new friends as they sit together and discuss their school day. We'd love adding some beauty to our school grounds by making it an inviting place where students families can come spend time together with their students as well. Having a rock garden will provide an enjoyable place for students to visit with their families and relax outdoors together. Students will be able to use the metallic markers to paint rocks during a weekly art class.
