Help me give my students yoga mats to learn ways to relax and calm their young active minds and body as well as help them to learn to regulate the peaceful state within them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how the students are very enthusiastic about learning in school. They use so much energy. After a busy morning and afternoon, they look forward to their yoga and relaxation time and help transition and continue the activities for the rest of the day. The yoga mats would be a great addition so each one can have a place to relax and stretch to feel peaceful in their own space. The yoga cards that come along with the set are perfect for learning new techniques visually. For the students, applying calming yoga techniques is valuable for their health and wellness to be able to learn and cope with the daily tasks that they undertake each day.
