This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day is busy and filled with rich class discussion. My goal by the end of the year is for everyone to show growth and that they have learned to love to read.

My students have an enthusiasm for learning. All of the students have different learning styles. Some are visual, some auditory, and some are kinesthetic learners. Their interests range from soccer and Minecraft to horses, guitar, and reading "Diary of the Wimpy Kid."

My Project

I have a great spot in my classroom where students can meet with me. I utilize this space for mini lessons, read aloud, and morning meetings. We focus our meetings on ways to spread peace. My students have said how awesome it would be to share our ideas for spreading peace on a colorful carpet.
