My students need PE equipment for our entire school. We do not get a lot of funds each year for new PE equipment and our current supplies are mostly broken. WE need hoops, jump ropes and more.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a low income area that has a great community with lots of support. They work hard for themselves and for their families. Many live in situations where they are in one home with over 4 families living together, yet they come to school every day ready to learn and grow.

Our school does as much as it can to help and assist the families of our students and we strive to make a better future for them to live in.

My Project

Our current PE equipment is very old and many of the supplies we have are broken, such as all of our hula-hoops and jump ropes. Many students are in clubs after school for soccer and basketball but are unable to practice at school during recess or PE due to a lack of equipment. Our teachers are even low on supplies for their PE lessons, and many have to use their own money to ensure that their students are getting a proper physical education. We currently have two basketballs for 500 students and only a few soccer balls, many of which are in very poor shape. These supplies would reach over 500 students in a Title I school and provide more options for teacher. Thank you for your consideration and your time.
