This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my school range in age from 3 to 14 and all come from diverse backgrounds. They learn in two languages, English and Spanish, on a daily basis. As a new educator in the building, I am trying to help change students' mindsets around physical education. Our school is an inner city school where 100% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many students are often not as active outside of school and physical education class is the time that I have to change that for them.
My Project
I have written fun and exciting units for my students to experience the sports of football and baseball. With the equipment listed here I will be able to fully bring those plans to the field and provide all the differentiation and tiered instruction to meet the diverse needs of each of my students.
We need this equipment to create many future successful physical education lessons.
It is incredibly important to help support a love of athletics and exercise for our students. Many of them only have gym class as their opportunity to learn different sports and develop their skills. These items will make a world of difference for those students and their future health and fitness.
