Mr. Jenkins from Cecilia KY is requesting sports & exercise equipment through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
See what Mr. Jenkins is requestingMy students need new scooter boards to replace the old ones we use. The old scooters are too small for most students, as they are only 12" wide. These new scooters are larger and safer.

Students come from rural homes in this small-town community school. They are hardworking and passionate about learning. We spent the first half of the year in a school built in 1938. We recently moved to a new building but didn't receive funding for new materials.
With that said, many of our materials and equipment are in bad shape from being used over the years.
We only receive about $250 each year, which won't purchase much when it comes to P.E. equipment. Many of our balls are falling apart and cannot be used properly. Some equipment was in such poor shape (ex- Covered in mouse droppings) that we just discarded it before moving to the new building.
We want some new equipment to go with our awesome building. Our students definitely deserve the best and will appreciate anything that is given to them.
We are hoping to order a set of 6 scooter boards to use for various games/activities. These scooters are safer for the students to use because they are 16" wide. The ones we have been using in class are only 12" wide, which makes it very difficult for some of the older students to use. The students love scooters, so I know they will be excited to see how I incorporate them into our games, activities, and curriculum. Most importantly, we can keep the students safer while they use the scooter boards, which should always be our most important goal.
